14.1. The Certification Mark shall be associated with unique SLP ID either for Certificate Holder or Principal, issued by SIRIM QAS and it shall be used according to guideline specify in eCMC/DOC/04-1. There are requirements for Certification Mark including durability, legibility, positioning and font and symbol size.
14.2. Self-labelling (SLP) ID Application
14.2.1. SLP is eligible for all Certificate Holders and is associated with Principal/ Manufacturer of the application for Compliance Approval. It is the obligation of a Certificate Holder to ensure that all certified products bear a valid Certification Mark.
14.3. SLP Product Registration Application
14.3.1. The Certificate Holder shall submit Equipment registration application in e-ComM. Equipment registration is the registration of the IMEI number or Equipment serial number in e-ComM database or any suitable system agreed by SIRIM QAS where the data shall be validated. The registration of this number shall be a mandatory input prior to the issuance of CoA for each consignment/importation. Certificate Holder shall maintain these records. For product that is incorporated with IMEI number for product that support cellular feature such as mobile phone and 2 modem, the IMEI number shall be used to record the products labelled with SLP Certification Mark. Whilst, for product that is not incorporated with IMEI number, the suitable method of unique number shall be proposed by the Certificate Holder/Principal.

Labeling process
Since June 2015, the installation of labels for certified telecommunications and multimedia products has been implemented through the Self-Labelling Program (SLP). The implementation of this program means that certificate holders or manufacturers must label their products independently.
The guidelines are in accordance with those specified for Self-Labelling in eCMC/DOC/04-1. The minimum size for MCMC labels is 8×8 mm. The label must cover more than 1% of the printable surface of the product.
Labels can be affixed to the surface of the device in physical, engraved, embossed, or sticker form. Alternatively, labels can also be affixed using electronic labeling (e-label) methods.
Certification labels cannot be affixed arbitrarily. If it is necessary to affix them to packaging or warranty letters, a statement must be submitted to SIRIM.
The SIRIM Malaysia certification label is required for the import process, but the label sticker can be affixed to the goods before or after the customs process.
Serial number or IMEI number registration
