  • Application receipt fee for conformity certification: An administrative fee for accepting the application and verifying the completeness of the certification documents.
  • Certification method review fee: Labor costs for reviewing documents in accordance with the selected certification method.
  • Technical specification review fee: Labor costs for reviewing technical specification documents and assessing technical document compliance.
  • Origin of the sample assessment fee: Labor costs for inspecting imported samples to ensure their authenticity
  • Fee for compliance assessment against QCVN: The cost of reviewing and evaluating test results against the applicable QCVN technical standards. 
  • Conformity certification issuance fee: The cost covers the printing of the certification form, signing, and stamping of the Certificate of Conformity.
  • Batch evaluation fee: This fee applies only to Scheme 7 and covers labor costs for assessing product uniformity within a batch, checking batch labeling, and recording the serial number of each product.
  • Sampling fee: This fee also applies to Scheme 7 and is required for a specialist to select random samples from a batch that has been evaluated for uniformity. 

Regulation in Vietnam

The cost to apply for Vietnam type approval is not arbitrary. It is outlined in Decision No. 213/QĐ-TTĐLCL issued by the Director of the Telecom Metrology and Quality Center (TQC). This decision sets the service fees for conformity certification.
