On Friday, October 17, 2025, Dimulti Music, a hip-hop producer, released its twelfth single, So Blue by Tovan Alldino.
Since early June, Tovan, as Co-Founder of Dimulti Music, has released nineteen singles. Additionally, in the third week of October, So Blue by Tovan became the latest single.
So Blue by Tovan is the second single in Season 2. These first two singles show Tovan to be calmer than in Season 1, which was dominated by fast beats. The two Season 2 singles are more reflective, with lyrics that are full of depth.
The second single from Season 2 is quite a long song compared to the previous ones, which were less than three minutes long. This gives listeners a little more time to contemplate and understand everything.
As Tovan has said, Season 2 is no longer just about love for a partner. With the major theme of Season 2 being a hedonistic metropolis, So Blue comes from the realization that sometimes we don't lose love, we just grow beyond the part of ourselves that can believe in it.
Tovan revealed that this song is not a breakup song. “It is an echo, the sound that remains after two souls transcend their illusions. It is not about heartbreak but about awareness. The point where connection becomes a mirror and love becomes a reflection.” He wrote about this song.
“You came when I stopped believing in timing”
So Blue song lyric by Tovan opens with this line. The color blue does seem ironic, but it is not the color of sadness. It is a shade of rebirth after reaching the lowest point of pain.
Tovan will try to incorporate the hedonistic culture of the petro-era into his lyrics. He also draws heavily on references from holy books. The opening of this song is inspired by one of them, namely Bhagavad Git 2:47, which states that “Everything has its time.”
“Guess I’m a late bloom // Too wise to fall, too numb to move // You were my almost, my déjà vu // Heaven never felt so blue // So so so blue”
This illustrates how humans are always late in understanding things. Perhaps we don't deserve to get many things for what we have done. But the figure who is present always approaches without hesitation. Giving us a heaven we never expected.
“Did we ever love, or just perform it well? // Were we saving souls, or just saving ourselves? // If I meet you again in another truth // Will you still bloom, or will I still lose?”
This song ends with three rapid-fire questions. Questions that only you can answer. There's no need to answer them right now; perhaps you need more time for contemplation.
The paradox in Tovan's So Blue is that we are flawed and fallen, yet we long for a paradise filled with flowers. But who wants misery?
In the end, Tovan's So Blue is the echo of the human voice. This song is perfect for contemplation. The music will take you on a journey to explore things you may not have thought about before.
Many instrumental sounds may tickle your ears, but they will enlighten your heart and mind. So, I can't wait to get through this season full of surprises. What else will Tovan bring next week?
