On Friday, November 7, 2025, Dimulti Music, a hip-hop producer, released its 23rd single, Stay On Me by Tovan Alldino.
Since early June, Tovan, as Co-Founder of Dimulti Music, has released 22nd singles. Additionally, in the first week of November, Stay On Me by Tovan became the latest single.
Stay On Me by Tovan is the fifth single in Season 2. In this song, Tovan explores piano and drums as a base. The bass provides a strong backing, and a small guitar melody tops off the song.
The intensity of this song lies in the piano accompaniment and the lyrics. The music is repetitive but aggressive. It's not necessarily energetic, but it slowly eats away at you. The calmness in this song is a manifestation of loyalty that accompanies you in silence.

This song is about love, but not the romantic kind. It is even the real form of love itself, peaceful and warm, gently refusing to go away. “It's about minutes that refuse to lie. It's about hunger that doesn't pretend to be poetry, and touch that doesn't ask permission from language,” writes Tovan about Stay On Me.
“You walk in, drop your bag by the door // Fresh from work, you’re tired down to the core // I’m on the couch scrolling through my phone, lowkey”
Stay On Me by Tovan opens without warning, straight into the lyrics. If you look closely, the opening lines are full of exhaustion, depicting someone who has come home from work and is relaxing on the sofa while staring at their phone screen.
Tovan attempts to incorporate the hedonistic culture of the petro era into his lyrics. He also quotes extensively from sacred texts. The opening of this song is inspired by one such text, Qur’an 94:5-6: “With hardship comes ease. Fatigue invites tenderness.”
“Your hair’s still damp from the shower steam // You look up like, ‘baby, say something’”
Exhaustion is washed away with worldly freshness. Humans always look up, hoping for words that will guide them to end this exhaustion.
“Stay on me, stay on me // Don’t leave, just lay on me // Stay on me, stay on me”
These lines are a form of honesty and sincerity. In truth, we don't want to lose our grip, because exhaustion always pushes us towards the edge of the cliff.
Stay On Me by Tovan should not be interpreted literally. The lyrics are indeed like a storytelling of everyday life. But Tovan does not seem to be writing from a first-person perspective. He writes as if He is writing about life.
Song Lyric: Stay On Me by Tovan

Tovan wants to invite listeners to dive into the layers of meaning of his lyrics. You can read into the meaning and then interpret for yourself by knowing the lyrics.
You walk in, drop your bag by the door
Fresh from work, you’re tired down to the core
I’m on the couch scrolling through my phone, lowkey
But you lay on my chest like you need me more
I turn it off
And pull you in
Your hair’s still damp from the shower steam
You look up like, “baby, say something”
So I kiss your lips, keep it real, no fronting
So I kiss your lips, keep it real, no fronting
Stay on me, stay on me
Don’t leave, just lay on me
Stay on me, stay on me
You say you’re starving but you’re kissing instead, bet
Got Rihanna on the speakers, you’re vibing the set
You laugh and say, “this always happens”
Like we’re stuck in a scene from a SZA caption
“this always happens”
Like we’re stuck in a scene from a SZA caption
Your leg’s on mine, skin warm and real
This ain’t a dream, I know what I feel
You taste like water and strawberry gloss
I lose my focus, I don’t care what it costs
No need to pose, no need to try
You being real is the reason why
The paradox in Stay On Me by Tovan is that when humans try to appear capable of facing all of life's fatigue on their own, they still need support. Even though humans don't want it to go away, their arrogance is very high. Like the definition of true love, the most annoying thing is the most loved.
In the end, this song will bring you reflection from the noise of the city and phones full of light. The piano melody will draw you in like gravity. But don't worry, you'll be welcomed by a chest to lie on and the courage to stay.
The instruments in this song will pamper your ears and bring you peace. So, I can't wait to get through this season full of surprises. What else will Tovan bring next week?
